When you think of designing, building or renovating a family home in Charlotte, you think of Stephanie Calderon Interiors.
Born into a family of creatives, Stephanie Calderon was inspired by her seamstress grandmother from a young age. Her innate passion for design has led her to become a self-made, self-taught designer, celebrated in the industry for her vibrant energy, enthusiasm, and fierce advocacy for her clients.
As Principal Designer of Stephanie Calderon Interiors, she oversees every design detail, ensuring that each project not only captures her client’s unique vision but also integrates the signature style of her firm.
When not immersed in design, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her puppy, discovering new local coffee shops, diving into a good book, or exploring Charlotte’s culinary scene. Her latest favorite? Prime Fish.

I worked with Stephanie to help design and select furniture for my new house. Stephanie was incredible from start to finish! She kicked things off getting to know me, my style, what pieces I was looking for, and my budget via a virtual call. From there, she worked through a couple iterations for selections. She picked the big pieces all the way down to plants and books for my coffee table. Incredibly thorough. She was patient and flexible with me as I provided feedback and worked through what I ultimately wanted. She was super responsive, professional, and fun the entire time - even despite my indecisiveness at times :). I’m still waiting on some of the furniture to come in but I’m really happy with all her selections - couldn’t recommend Stephanie strongly enough!

We worked with Stephanie to decorate our new home. This was a new process for us, and we were skeptical about finding a trustworthy person, who would stay within budget, and have a pragmatic approach. We also wanted to enjoy the process and the experience - as we had never hired an interior decorator before. Stephanie listened to our needs, and then applied a practical yet detailed process allowing us to fully understand the steps, timelines, expectations, and investment. She listened to our needs and then presented multiple options for everything we wanted to do. The end result is something that we are extremely happy with. We get tons of compliments. North Carolina born and raised, Madison moved to Charlotte to earn a degree in Elementary Education. It was while teaching that Madison couldn’t ignore her true love for interior design and went back to school to pursue a degree in Interior Design.
Madison currently lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and 3 fur babies.
LAYLA GANCI
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Layla relocated to Charlotte in 2016, bringing with her a fresh perspective and a creative vision. After establishing a strong background in Sales and Marketing for start-ups and small businesses, she chose to follow her lifelong passion by embarking on a career in interior design.
Outside the studio, Layla enjoys exploring the city with her husband and their Golden Retriever, Palmer.
Jenna King
procurement & Operations manager
Originally from Virginia Beach, Jenna has called Charlotte home for 10 years. Her lifelong interest in design first sparked while regularly watching “Trading Spaces” in the early 2000s, then followed along with a family passion for interior design, frequently passing through High Point or local design shops on family roadtrips to NC. After completing her own historical home renovation, Jenna transitioned out of the banking industry to pursue project management in the design world.
Jenna lives in Charlotte with her husband, 2 young kids, and a sweet labradoodle named Zoey.
